Welcome to Hereford and Worcester Dyslexia Association

Over 40 years helping dyslexic children catch up

Hereford and Worcester Dyslexia Association (HWDA) is a local charity which covers the two counties and aims to help by providing specialist teaching weekly in literacy, maths and study skills for children with dyslexia or dyslexic-type difficulties and/or dyscalculic-type difficulties. Our services are provided through specialist tuition centres (“workshops”) in Bromsgrove, Hereford and Worcester. We offer advice and support to parents through three Parents Support Groups. We supply information to individuals who are interested in dyslexia.

Workshops

All three workshops have some student spaces available for the next academic term. Please contact the Senior Tutor for your closest centre.

Thank you for all the support you have given both L and D over the years. Knowing that your child is going to a place where he is completely understood is priceless. Keep up the great work.

Just to say a big ‘THANK YOU’ for all the time, effort and enthusiasm that you and your teachers put in to running the Dyslexia Workshops. We really appreciate the support that D has received.

Thank you for all you have done for A whilst she has attended HWDA. She has really progressed with the help of her tutor. We await her GCSE results this summer, and hope that she passes her English to enable her to start the course she has chosen. Thank you again!!
