Worcester Workshop

We, at the Worcester Workshop, are a team of four tutors who provide specialist dyslexia tuition for pupils of school-age who are experiencing difficulties with literacy because of dyslexic-type problems.

Our team uses flexible, multi-sensory methods aimed at meeting the specific needs of pupils, and our sessions are conducted in a friendly atmosphere, which are made as interesting and light-hearted as possible.

Workshops take place on Saturday mornings in The Woodland Room at the Worcester Woods Countryside Park, where we hold three one-hour sessions beginning at 9:00, 10:15 and 11:30am. We offer literacy support for pupils up to Year 9, working in pairs with their tutor. We also offer Study Skills support in small groups for pupils in Years 10 and 11.

If you have a child who you feel would benefit from joining us at Worcester and would like a chat, I would love to hear from you.

Hello. I would like to introduce myself. I am Margaret Comerford, Senior Tutor at the Association’s Worcester’s Workshop. I joined the Workshop as a literacy tutor in September 1998, and in June 2014, was appointed as Senior Tutor.

Over the last 24 years, I have tutored numerous children, and watching them grow in skills and confidence has been hugely rewarding. During my time as Senior Tutor, I have had the privilege of working alongside a team dedicated and passionate tutors and between us we provide a friendly and welcoming environment where we support our pupils to achieve their full potential.
