Dyslexia Awareness Week 2024: What’s Your Story? We Still Want Your Stories…

The theme of this year’s Dyslexia Awareness Week was What’s Your Story? HWDA is raising awareness of dyslexia by sharing stories from our students, families and friends. If you are able, please share your story.

YOUR STORY: You can share your own story by sending us a photo of yourself doing something you enjoy / are good at doing or a picture or a model which represents your strengths. The possibilities are endless: Lego model, cake making, painting, sports achievements… Add a few sentences to explain what Your Story is.

As well as your own story, you might like to share those of dyslexic family members and friends. You might like to ‘interview’ them. If you would like to make a short video that would also be great. We could include them on our You Tube channel and, of course, on our website.

Ask your Senior Tutor for a form that can be signed to give permission for us to share any stories on our social media platforms.

Have a look at some of the ‘stories’ we have so far. These include those of current and former students, family and friends. We will continue to add to them as we receive more throughout the coming months. We look forward to adding Your Story, too!
