Generation CAN

The Generation CAN Awards are local Worcestershire awards to celebrate the remarkable achievements of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and the people who support them.

Previous Award winners associated with HWDA include Victoria Crivelli (above). Victoria was previously manager for the Learning Support Team in Worcestershire, with a team of 40 staff. She formed a support group with Frances Browne and they ran extremely popular drop ins for both educators and parents. Their sessions included presentations by Dragon Software and Arran Smith (founder of the Dyslexia Show) on assisted technology as well as offering practical advice and training on dyspraxia and handwriting.

Husband and wife Geoff and Linda, were each presented with a Wonder Award for their  support and guidance over 30 years. Linda  devoted her life to supporting children with specific learning difficulties and Geoff worked tirelessly as HWDA Treasurer and as a valued HWDA committee member.
